ORANGE FOR ORANGUTAN CELEBRATIONS!

14TH NOVEMBER 2012

An absolutely huge thank you to everybody who came on down to the Orange for Orangutan evening at the Woodman. Judging by the photos, dancing and smiles, there was definitely love in the air for our orange cousins! Colomboloco played, what can only be described as, an awesome set of music and even ended up with dancing on the tables...I say! As well as getting your hips shaking, you also helped us to raise 450 pounds for the Orangutan Foundation UK, which thanks to the Big Give, has been doubled to 900 pounds! To find out more about where your money will be going please visit their website at http://www.orangutan.org.uk

Orangutans are one of our closest relatives and it is vital that we do everything that we can to look after their habitat. For more information on the threats to orangutans and other creatures of Borneo, please keep an eye out for updates on the What's Up page.

RENE'S SERIES

ANIMAL TALK AT TIVERTON PRIMARY SCHOOL

I had the pleasure of giving a talk about all sorts of animals (including my beloved orangutans of course!) at Tiverton Primary School this week. I was joined by Chilean Wildlife Filmmaker and Presenter, Rene Araneda. After meeting Rene at Wildscreen Film Fesitival, we decided to work together educating children about our experiences with nature. Rene's stories of his time as a Safari Guide in south Africa had the children in a complete trance and his films of his adventures had them gasping with excitement and disbelief. I was truly honoured to have been able to give this talk with rene before he left for Chile, where he will be filming his next wildlife series for Chilean TV. You can watch Rene's series by clicking on the link below.

If you would like me to talk to a school you know, or for a charity event, please contact me at harrisoncj82@hotmail.com to find out more about what I do!
